“I am more confident and my balance and skills are better. I really enjoy going away.”
“Coping strategies, confidence and independence have improved hugely.”
“The difference in my son is fantastic. This is the only time he has been away from home and his confidence has improved such a lot. He has done so many things when he has been on trips, it is great.”
“We had a fantastic time on the Family camp. It really brought us together as father and son and it is still continuing. I think it is amazing idea. I would recommend the camp to any family.”
“Trips away on camps build his confidence and give me time to relax. Many thanks for another great year of support from R4R!”
“Thank you to R4R for all the work they do, J loves it and it is so good and beneficial for him in lots of ways”
You helped enormously by collecting us from home and being patient when you arrived: all our expectations were met fully on the Family camp and it was a good opportunity to speak with people. “A” commented that it was easier than he thought for the weekend and he got to make lots of choices. Thank you for including us: can I come without him next time?
J has enjoyed his time away and the 1:1 biking sessions have really helped build his confidence. It has been really good for my own mental wellbeing too: going through everything with me has taken away my anxieties and I know that J is getting the care he needs. I certainly feel well supported and this helps me keep going longer.
The indoor climbing and badminton sessions were “amazing”, both for me and for S: they were the first ever activity sessions that he has been able to sustain continuously and been able to complete and achieve the whole series. I enjoyed having time on my own and treated myself to a meal out most evenings so I could enjoy a leisurely meal reading a book and not have to worry about doing the washing up afterwards!
